Woman: Copenhagen was recently voted ‘the world’s best cycle city’ and it’s easy to see why. The city has 375 kilometres of safe cycle paths. Some of them are raised above the level of the road. You don’t even need to have your own bike; you can use a city bike, which is free. All you need is a coin to release it. When you return it, you get your money back, so it costs you nothing. Forty-one percent of the people who live in Copenhagen commute to work or to school and college by bike. In fact, there are more bikes than people in the city, and there are certainly more bikes than cars.
Man: A great way to travel in Singapore is by river taxi. The fare is about $3 – and you get a wonderful view of the city from the river. Water taxis are popular with commuters, tourists and anyone who wants to get from A to B. Each taxi can carry up to 60 passengers.
